Dr. Michael Ian Rothenberg specializes in helping men with erectile dysfunction and non-physiological sexual performance issues to reduce their performance anxiety and their dependence upon masturbation and pornography. Dr. Rothenberg has helped countless individuals and couples to enjoy their sexuality and to start living happier lives.
SEXUALITY AND ILLNESS
We are all sexual beings and our sexuality is, very often, a concern for individuals in both health and in illness. Sometimes we’re uncomfortable, embarrassed or even too shy to discuss our sexual concerns with medical professionals and it might even appear that some medical professionals are, sometimes, uncomfortable discussing our sexual concerns with us.
Dr. Rothenberg provides specialized counseling for patients and caregivers who have questions about their illness, sex and sexuality. His open, non-judgmental style puts people at ease and helps them to feel comfortable discussing topics that are, in fact, sometimes hard to talk about.
LGBTQ SEX THERAPY
Dr. Rothenberg, provides specialized, supportive and affirmative counseling and sex therapy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer individuals and couples.
He has also taught Human Sexuality at both the University of Central Florida (UCF) and Barry University and has personally trained hundreds of mental health practitioners including Marriage and Family Therapists, Mental Health Counselors and Clinical Social Workers on how to provide sex positive, non-judgmental, counseling and therapy for LGBTQ individuals and couples.
Dr. Rothenberg provides continuing education workshops and is available for local, national and international speaking engagements related to LGBTQ Counseling, Health, Welfare, Rights, and Advocacy.
MALE SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ABUSE
Dr. Rothenberg understands the difficulty that male survivors often have discussing issues related to sexual abuse and sexual trauma. As a specialist working exclusively with male survivors, he always exhibits awareness and respect for your boundaries and your level of comfort. My goal is to create a safe environment where men are comfortable discussing issues that are very difficult to talk about. As always, your confidentiality is ensured.
SEXUALITY AND AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER
Many of those who struggle to communicate sexually and socially are Autistic adults with previously undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Dr. Rothenberg, specializes in treating clients with Asperger's Syndrome/Autism Spectrum Disorder and the challenges those on the spectrum have in the realms of Sexual Performance, Sexual Identity, LGBTQ Specific Issues, Sexual Addiction, Pornography Addiction, Sexually Impulsive and Sexually Compulsive Behaviors.
